Dr. Priyadarshini Gouthaman, Founder and Director of La Neuron STEAM Academy in Poland, brought a concrete, working example of global collaboration to the third Global Education Forum — built from the science projects already running inside her own school.
At La Neuron, student science projects are designed to bring together learners from different backgrounds and countries around a shared problem, rather than working in isolation. Dr. Priyadarshini painted a vivid picture of what that looks like in practice:
"Imagine a student in Poland thinking about air pollution during winter, another in Nigeria thinking of constant electricity blackouts, while another in Chile thinks of earthquakes — all collaborating to solve a problem in a particular area."
She walked educators through how this kind of collaboration can be put into practice step by step, and why it tends to produce stronger outcomes for the students and institutions involved — each learner brings a different lived problem to the table, and the shared work becomes richer because of it, not despite it.
